Welcome to my catalogue of parts, engines, engine management systems, conversions, brakes, suspension, competition sundries and services. All parts can either be sold on their own or sold fitted as a package.

I cater for the serious, club competitor; be it rally, race, sprint or hill climb. I have been in the motor trade for 27 years, 20 of those working within a competition environment. I have raced and supported many different cars on many different events. Walden Engineering evolved from Bill Blydenstein's Station works operation and until 1997 operated from there. I moved my share of the company up to my home here in Aberdeenshire, where I have been operating for about 5 years.

I offer total flexibility; if you require someone to come to your premises to fit or calibrate a conversion, that is possible, if you require your car collecting, (trailer) again that is possible, race or rally support again no problem. Sometimes it is cheaper to have one of us come to you than you come to us.

If you do not find your requirements in this catalogue call me, I have been asked to carry out some strange projects in the past; 4x4 conversions, rear wheel drive conversions, full or part restorations, body conversions, competition preparation(seam welding cage fitting etc) and the most common 16v conversions.

The Weber Alpha, MBE and Omex engine management systems form a large part of my business, the systems can be fitted to any car with any number of cylinders. The kits shown in this catalogue is just a sample of what can be done.

The rear brake conversion is one that has been fitted for many years by many different people. I have come across and heard of numerous people who have; either had an accident as a result of poorly fitted or set up brakes or frightened themselves with a very near miss!! If you upgrade the rear brakes on a front wheel drive car you must either upgrade the front as well or reduce the pressure to the rear.

13/14 & 1600 engine to Ford bellhousings..........from £176.00

Stock Rod/Grass Track Formula engines:

Both these formulae differ slightly, but the principle is the same - blueprint.

(Believe it or not there is more involved with a blueprint build than a full race build)

Head: Replace valve guides,cut seats (to regs),blue print combustion chambers and valve lengths. Fit appropriate cam (ie blueprint or WE spec cam)and solid lifters if applicable.

Block: Bore, face, and clean. Paint and fit new gallery plugs and core plugs, hone to give piston to bore clearance. Grade and machine rods to balance fitted length.

Crank: Grind and polish, machine flywheel and balance with crank.

Sump: Fit baffles and platform to stop surge.

Misc: Pistons - Mahle. Competition rod bolts, competition oil pressure relief valve in new pump, quality gaskets, water pump and belt.

Carb/dist: Strip clean and modify to suit application. Fit restrictor as/if applicable.

Build: Dummy build and calculate all tolerances, capacities etc. Finally clean and build to the highest of standards.

Group A rally engines:

Again a blueprint build with the addition of Cosworth pistons and various options on ignition and fuel control. Cost.................£1975.00 + management system.

There are so many other options available 1200 - 1400 conversions 14 - 16 & 13 -14. Prices depend on condition of your own unit and whether it would take the modification. I always have used components/ engines for sale

All the kits and builds are tried and tested conversions, using the best quality components and built with the utmost care and attention.

Whether you are looking for a road conversion or a full race engine there is a conversion for you. All conversions are flexible and can be adapted to suit individual requirements; i.e. open loop or closed loop lambda control, Air box or competition air filter, in line or transverse fittment, wet sump or dry sump.
